Conroys Marsh A Magnificent Wetland Home to numerous species of furbearers, fish, birds, waterfowl and flora This wetland was enlarged by the daming of the Madawaska River in 1956 as part of Ontario Hydro's hydroelectric generating activity Conroy's Marsh 3km South of the Combermere Bridge on the Madawaska River
Old Rail Bed Trail The Old Rail Bed Trail Trains once used this to carry freight & passengers from Renfrew thru Barry's Bay and on to Madawaska. This makes this a wonderful trail for a stroll, brisk walk or cross country skiing. Snowmobiles & ATV's also use this very popular trail.
